NAVIGATION > Inventory > Procurement & Delivery > Delivery & Shipping
NAVIGATION Open a (contract, project, or ticket) charge and scroll to the Items Already Picked, Received, or On Order table
If you made a mistake transferring or delivering items, you can easily revert them to the previous status of Ready to Deliver/Ship by clicking Cancel Delivery/Shipment on the following pages:
-
the Items Already Picked, Received, or On Order table on the Charge page
-
The Delivered/Shipped tab of the Delivery & Shipping page
Once an item has either been transferred to a customer or delivered/shipped, the Cancel Delivery/Shipment hyperlink will appear in the Deliver/Ship column of the Items Already Picked, Received, or On Order table.
-
Click Cancel Delivery/Shipment. The status of the item returns to Ready to Deliver/Ship.
NOTE If a shipping charge was created when the item was set to Delivered/Shipped, that charge is deleted if it has not been posted. If there is an associated shipping charge that has been posted, a warning message informs you that the charge cannot be deleted.
You can also cancel the delivery or shipment of one or multiple items on the Delivered/Shipped tab of the Delivery & Shipping page. Do the following:
- Use the filter row to filter the contents of the table. Three columns are specific to this table: Quantity Shipped, Shipped Date, and Shipped By. These columns reflect the information at the time that the item status changed to Delivered/Shipped. For information on the other columns in this table, refer to The Delivery & Shipping page (Procurement required).
- You can select any mix of items you want. Items do not need to be related by organization, purchase or sales order, product, or any other criteria.
- If needed, create a picklist or packing list for the selected items. Refer to Print a pick list or packing list.
- Click Cancel Delivery/Shipment.
NOTE If you have selected items that have been returned to inventory using the Swap Device Wizard, you will get an error message. The status of items that have been returned to inventory will not be set Ready to Deliver/Ship. For information on the Swap Devices Wizard, refer to Swapping a device.
When you click Cancel Delivery/Shipment, the following actions occur:
- The status of the selected items returns to Ready to Deliver/Ship.
- The items are removed from the Shipped/Delivered tab and returned to the Ready to Deliver/Ship tab.
- The items are transferred back to their original inventory location, and a record is created on the Inventory > Transfers & Updates page.
- If a shipping charge was created when the item was set to Delivered/Shipped, that charge is deleted if it has not been posted. If there is an associated shipping charge that has been posted, a warning message informs you that the charge cannot be deleted.
If necessary, items can be returned to inventory by clicking the Un-Pick link on the Charge page. Refer to Unpicking a stocked item.
