Configuring the purchase order body
SECURITY Security level with Admin permission to configure Products, Services, & Inventory. Refer to Admin security settings.

The purchase order template body contains the grid that displays the items included in the purchase order. In the template body editor, you determine the appearance and content of the list of items, including:
- Which columns appear in the grid, the order in which they appear, and the column header labels
- Whether or not the grid will display the column headers and vertical lines
The template body has two sections. You can collapse and expand the sections.
How to...
This section lists the columns available to display in the purchase order body. You can click a row to put it into Edit mode.
- To open the page, use the path(s) in the Security and navigation section above.
- Edit the Column Label if desired.
- Select the check box in the Display column to add a column to the grid. Clear it to remove the column.
- Click Save to save the row settings, or click Cancel.
- To change the left-to-right display order of the columns, click a row in the Order column on the left and drag it to its new column location.
The following columns can be displayed on the template's purchase order item list:
Field | Description |

Item | The Product Name from the list of purchase order items. Refer to Adding or editing a purchase order. |
Description | The description of the item, based on the selection made in the Use Descriptions from: field on the purchase order. Refer to Adding purchase order items. |
Internal Product ID | The Internal Product ID associated with the product. Refer to Adding, editing, or copying a product. |
Vendor Part # | The Vendor Part Number from the vendor table for this vendor and product. Refer to Associate a product with vendors. |
Manufacturer Part # | The Manufacturer Product Number from the product. Refer to Adding, editing, or copying a product. |
Cost | Displays the cost per unit of the item from the list of purchase order items. Refer to Adding or editing a purchase order. |
Quantity | Displays the number of units included in the purchase order. |
Extended | Displays the item's extended cost multiplied by quantity. |
Product Category | The Product Category from the product. Refer to Adding, editing, or copying a product. |
Product SKU |
The Product SKU from the product. Refer to Adding, editing, or copying a product. |
Product Link | A text version of the Product Link from the product. Refer to Adding, editing, or copying a product. |
Product Link (URL) | A hyperlink of the Product Link (URL) from the product. Refer to Adding, editing, or copying a product. |
External Product ID | The External Product ID from the product. Refer to Adding, editing, or copying a product. |
Manufacturer | The Manufacturer from the product. Refer to Adding, editing, or copying a product. |
Material Code | The Material Code from the product. Refer to Adding, editing, or copying a product. |
Product Photo | The Product Photo from the product. Refer to Adding, editing, or copying a product. |
These settings affect the appearance of the template's list of purchase order items.
Field | Description |

Show grid header | Select this check box to display the column names at the top of the list of purchase order items. |
Show vertical lines in the grid | Select this check box to display vertical lines to separate columns in the list. |
